Burt's Bees, a leader in the corporate world on sustainability issues, came to us with a challenge: Create an exhibit to meet the hightest bar for sustainability.
Exhibit Resources designed a replica of Burt’s house using renewable and recyclable materials, including carpet made out of recycled nylon, bamboo surfaces, LED lighting, PureBond formaldehyde-free plywood, and recyclable laminates. The exhibit successfully told the story of the company’s origins in the small home of its founder, and did so without compromising on the company’s core sustainability values. It stood out because the story connected with visitors, communicated the brand’s culture, and promoted its sustainability message.
Burt’s Bees rolled out the new display at the Natural Products East EXPO in Boston, October 15-18, 2008. The 24th annual gathering of the East Coast’s largest natural and organic products tradeshow and conference continued to be a launch-pad for new products, showcasing the natural, organic and healthy trends of tomorrow. The event drew more than 26,000 industry attendees and featured more than 2,100 exhibits.
