Plug-In 2011

Plug-In 2011, a global conference on the engineering advances, industry research and public policies that will create the framework for the future of plug-in hybrid and electric transport, will be held in Raleigh, NC from July 18 to July 21. The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Progress Energy and Duke Energy, the show's co-organizers, have reserved the Raleigh Convention Center as the first venue outside of CA to host the confernce. The trade show will attract vehicle manufacturing companies, suppliers of components, power utilities, relevant governmental departments, those involved in the environmental movement and the academic world to discuss ideas and gather the knowledge required to make informed decisions about the emerging industry. The Triangle area is established as an innovative hotbed of research and entrepreneurial leadership, and the ideal location to broaden the access to this trade show. Plug-In 2011 will include education and panel sessions, as well as break-out groups and smaller discussion panels on launching the technologies needed to commercialize electric innovations into the transportation market. The expo floor, which will showcase vehicles, electric infrastructure and batteries and related components, will feature trade show displays from more than 40 exhibitors.
